So now it is trail running. But I have change the training set up. so now I always put in a strength part, or a mobility training. This week it has been 9 workouts within 620 minutes.

The other day in the dressing room, a mate told me I was a inspiration for him. That really made me happy! If I can be a inspiration, that is real good:-) And it as well make me more positive and even more focused. So becoming a inspiration will gives you even more inspiration..

Yesterday I went up early as usual, put on my backpack and the harness. The car-wheel was also brought with me. When I just got 10 minutes left I met a couple with there dog. They told me that they always follows the track from the ”wheel man” every Saturday. And they sad, you look very strong:-) The man, the myth the wheel-man:-)

This week I got a new training partner. Kenai a 8 week old Siberian husky.

If you going to the mountains, they will be challenge you, in one way or another.  So you have to be prepared, for bad weather, for you own tiredness, lack of focus or your inner strength. I have been talking about it before. You can train physical, but that will not be enough. You must have a will that is hard as Nordic granite. Train your emotional stability. Stay objective even when it is hard times (like it often is in the mountain environment.) Perspective, it is always important to all in to the right perspective. For keeping upcoming challenges and troubles in the right dignity, this will be an important mental strength. Readiness for changes, well conditions will always change how good is your ability to that? Detachment, learn to dant take everything personally. Strength under stress, if you have good capacity and experience of this, you can handle a difficult situation in a much better way. Unwavering positivity, stay positive even –especially when you encounter negative people. Elevate them; never bring yourself down.  Don’t allow naysayers to ruin the spirit of what you’re accomplishing.

So get yourself a granite hard mind…

During the weekend, I was up to Jamtland in the Swedish mountains. The weather forecast told us that it would be tough wind a class one warning because of the wind and snowy weather. Well, I got a good tour of training my mental and physical strength.

glac_lev_2_Snostorm[1]

When its tough in the mountains, the mental and physical strength will be tested..

Going with the wind blow upfront, with 20m/s (72km/h) is tough and demands strength and toughness. A salute to my two daughters who make it in the best of ways. They will understand how good it is to challenge your comfort zone….

A f****ng week, how to get more intelligent.

You have to pay for it sometime, if you don’t rest when it is time.

IMG_0496

Last week was tough. The body did not respond as it normally do. I checked the rest puls, and it was a bit higher than normal. Every workout was a struggle. So I have to take it a bit more easy during the weekend. It helped me out, so today I felt ok again. High intensive training, you must listen to your body…

I f you want to develop your intelligence research shows that if you read more books, do meditation or learn a new language you will get more intelligent. And of course training will develop your intelligence.

Now it is time for the trail running season. Trail running combined with cross country running is real good for the body.

Trail running in the mountains is the greatest, but still cross-country running is good as well..

Now there will be focus for hill training. It is time to build strength and endurance for the summer.

How to put on the harness, and some new gear..

So now we are in April, and the mountain is calling and I must go. The training this week, well it has been a lot of leg. I am exhausted, the muscle hold is hurting..

But now I am planning for the upcoming events. There will be some Via Ferrata and some other events. So its good to be trained and prepared. I will test some hill training, but I will come back regarding that.

And now some new gear:

A hard week, step up and a quadrathlon?

This week has been a good training week. with 9 workouts with a big difference between the contents. This day I started with about an hour of running and strength. Sprints with car-wheel, lifting logs and box jumps. The noon was spend in the trail-running track.

But now it is time to prepare for next level, the next step. You must challenge yourself to get a bit further…

6aa93fc4c2c4a05b7e2a6b272fcfe529[1]

To get a step further you need a push, gather people that encourages yourself and you limits, that’s what you need..

So what’s next? I am planning for a mountain quadrathlon, but at least to become realistic would be a mountain triathlon. Challenge your self to a higher level and live as you learn. Train insane or remain the same..

Trail-running, Via Ferrata, MTB-cycling, and Kayaking. at least three of them would become doable.

If just…

Another week is over and a new is upcoming. Have you thought over how many times we think over the fact if just..the weather has been better. If I just had felt better. If I only have been just I little more alert.

13-Reasons-You-Should-Live-In-The-Present-[1]

Do your life to yours, the talk and feeling about mindfulness is very easy. enjoy the moment and be grateful every night before you sleep. Stop thinking but if and buts, do what you need to do, what you are meant to do. After the second workout today I was tired. I thought: I am tired, but this is a real great feeling, and I got a lot of energy of the workout. And the best of all the feeling afterword’s, nothing can comperes to it. I live my life as I want.

Hard week and becoming a better mountaineerer..

9 workouts and 620minutes of training. I would call it a good week. Yesterday I was lugging the car wheel, a 10K speed hiking and ended the day with a cross country running.

1422355099704894897[1]

Becoming a good mountaineerer is not just about physical training..

Becoming a good mountaineerer requires more then just physical strength. You most develop your social intelligence. Becoming a good listener is a good start of this..Adaptable will be another skill you will need. Different situation, and different group set-up requires different way of act, the better ability adapt to that, the better you will provide. Empowering yourself and other is another skill you need to have. The people around will probably be the one to help you to success. You also must increase your way of risk-awareness learn to listen and trust your intuition. Always think big, keep a holistic three step thinking.

So keep on develop, keep on challenge yourself to become better.
