Now it is time to start the preparation for next season.

Climber1

It is how you prepare now at this moment, how good you will accomplish your target for upcoming events..So train hard, stay focused and get passion for your challenges.

The training this week has been good. But I am started to feel a bit worn. Well it can have something related to the challenge:-)

This week the challenge was Swim run. So I listen to Gorans suggestion of swimming in the lake were I live. But living up to my words of combined training a added some running as well. So Saturday morning and this morning I went out running for 10k and swimming 1k. So from now it is just 51 challenges left:-)

The frogmen…Swimrun challenge..

I used Head:s Swimrun Rough black. A real good suit with good details such as build in pockets for bars etc. So this one was real great.

If you train one hour a day, that will be 4% from the day. But the training should make your life better, and not become your life…

At last just two things; come on and give me some challenges. And don’t forget to sign up for next years Chamonix event..

No night train to Jämtland & Hill training.

images110MH35F

No night train to Jämtland.

Well then it was time for it, again..SJ one of the biggest train operators in Sweden has decided to stop the night train with Jämtland as destination. This has been in focus before, and the traffic is already reduced. Of course  there is two side of the coin. One is that it must be valued for the operator. The other, is to got a living countryside and a living tourism for this area. I think it should be both the SJ as operator to take its responsibility and the interest from the tourist side, for example the Swedish tourist federation (Svenska turist föreningen). If the two areas work together with a package it would benefit the both side, and for Me. as costumer. As well as for the environment. Now people will take the car or go by bus instead. At low season, the mountain station must closed, due to reduced income. But with a smart package everyone will have a benefit out of it. But both side must take there responsibility..

No more night train to Jämtland will have impact on the tourism in the area..

And the training, today it was hill training. Tough but, good afterwords:-)

52 challenges, and become what you want to be…

This week the training has been good. When it ends it will be 9 workouts and about 540 minutes. It has become time to check the head lamp, the darkness comes earlier now.

1441814758912[1]

My new challenge will be to try a new challenge every week. this for develop and challenge myself. So if you got any suggestion, leave a comment:-)  So I look forward for new training methods, and new adventures:-). So it will not be just hike challenges as on the picture.

The difference between what you are, and what you want to become is what you do…

An adventure is only a inconvenience rightly understood. An inconvenience is only a adventure wrongly understood.

”A early morning. The sun has just been up for an hour. The train stops at the Enafors railway-station in Jämtland. The air is cold, and only one passenger step of the train. Iggy Pop:s the passenger is in my head. I put my back pack on and start to walk. After just 1k I leave the E14 and follows the trail to Silverfallet. When passing the more’s the air will become even more cool. The ascending starts and I can feel it in my legs. The land is frostbite. The November air is fresh and I feel I am really in the moment. After a while the trail will become a bit easier. Here and there it is icy, It is good to have the sprigs on my boots. The sun is painting Ingolvskalet in golden, what a perfect day. The target for the day is the area close to Getvalen.” (to be continued…)

Check under news and Our Services -How to get you there for booking next years Chamonix adventures..

This week it has been good progress within the training. 10 workouts within 6 days. 590 minutes of different training. Now when the fall has come it will be a challenge to keep up the training. A good suggestion will be to cooperate with a partner. Challenge each other for example with a two hours workout. Were you have responsible for each part. That can be a new way of training.

SydKelDuo_mediumthumb[1]

Challenging your training partner to get new forms of training.

And also learn form duathletes and triathletes, combined training. Do two or more moment together. It will be more fun, different and more covered training for the whole body..

Ask yourself:

What do you want to change?

How will you change?

Why do you want to change?

Start with small steps but with continuity. Have patience.

This is the first step for the rest of your life…Live your life with passion, every day..

Preparation and training..

This week it has been 10 workouts within 6 days, and overall 545 minutes. Perfect, and a lot of different type of training.

And when it comes to training there is no excuses any more. If you do the Tabata and/or EFIT you can train were ever you are at any time:-)

Just go for it…..

And when it comes to endurance, it can be worth reading what Brian MacKenzie tells us, use Cross-Fit to become a good marathon-runner. Train short, intensive and with ..pain. He means sometimes less is more right, than long slow training.

A real good week of training. Seven different workout, and one of them Via Ferrata. Yesterday morning I Went up early. My goal for the day was to go to Skuleberget in northern Sweden for via ferrata. A fantastisc morning with the fog leaving the water, and the sun rising in the west.

This summer has been fantastic, trail running, longboarding and Via ferrata. And I must say, when I passed the Dalälven river yesterday I felt the good feeling. I cant help it but it feels so good to be in the northern part of Sweden. It is with a heart full of love I can Think back to all adventures i have had up here. Another thin I am very pleased of is my body. It adept to all training I subjected it to. It is fabulous. What a perfect machine the body is if you take care of it physical and psychological. And you; the most beautiful view, is the realization.(Sv. Den vackraste utsikten är insikten).

It is better to become fit, instead of finding excuses for not training…

A normal week, with nine workouts and 500 minutes of training. More hours in the gym, and less in the running trails…Ended week with two hours longboarding. Nice…

In Sweden the highest peak is the south peak of Kebnekaise. At least at the moment. Very soon the northern peak will become to bethe highest(if not already). This will be a challenge related to the fact that the peak is more a technical climb. Today the Kebnekasie mountain station got mountain managers to guide the tourists to the top. But to the northern peak it will requires an authorized mountain guide. So either they need to hire more mountain guides or secure the area with fixed field solutions such as wires and ropes etc. In Sweden the Environmental protection agency (Sv. Naturvårdsverket) is responsible for this. Today they have done nothing, and very soon the pressure will be high to climb the peak from tourists. I hope the first accident not will be the starting point for building the required safety environment.

Mountain safety and challenges…

Another week has past. the training has been good six workouts so far and 270 workouts totally so far this year:-). When it comes to challenge my self I have take a step. I need to train the balance and the ankle, sp what can be better than ..longboard:-).

In a article in the Swedish magazine ”outside”, Morgan Johansson a writer write about the safety in the mountain environment. That we are to cautious, and bring to heavy and to much stuff. (He has also wright the book; Hiking featherweight sv. Vandra fjäderlätt). He means that we should be more careful by the travel to the mountain environment, due to it is more car accidents then mountain related accidents. He means that we got to many forefingers point on safety and security. He got a point, but when it comes to safety from my side there will be no ability to cut the corners.  we can also hear and read in the news of people that need to be rescued, related to the fact of lack of skills or the right equipment. Today it is so accessible to get into the mountains, and having good equipment cant compensate having good skills. So go up in the mountain environment and get skilled, and use a mountain leader or a mountain guide to become more skilled. That is what you pay for. The knowledge of years in the mountain environment, the knowledge of the specific area and equipment..And you, never trust a guy with shiny gear:-)

Training and motivation…

Nine workouts the last week. Lots of running this period as usual. Upcoming period the focus will be for strength.

My thoughts about motivation:

Never-Giveup-mlm[1]

I often got the question of how I get my motivation. An easy answer from my side will often be; The more energy you put into what you want to achieve, the easier it will be to get it. But it aint just that easy…

Motivation includes three main parts, to have a clear target. If you planning and have clear target it will help you to become motivated.  Target must be in short terms as well as in long term. The second will be to have a good skill to imagine. Train your ability to imagine that you have achieve the target, how it feels etc. You will experience resistance to get to your goal. Here comes the third part, you need to have so called ”impulse control”. No shortcuts will get you there.. so your internal talk must be trained. This for get up 5 a clock in the morning, do the extra set at the gym…So develop your impulse control. You can do it every day. Stop drinking coffee or the. Using sugar, or get upset of the weather or the late train…
